  38.      This set of patches in BTR510.EXE contains batch files to correct all the
  39.      known problems in Btrieve version 5.10/5.11.  The patches are for DOS,
  40.      OS/2, Windows, NLM, and VAP environments.

  70.      To install the patches, follow these steps:

  72.      1.   Copy all the files to the directory on your system that contains
  73.           each file to be patched and make this the default directory.
  74.

  78.      Patching a patched version may cause unpredictable errors.

  82.      2.   Make sure that you are patching the original (unpatched) released
  83.           version of the software.

  85.      3.   Make sure that PI.EXE is available on the system.  (PI.EXE is a
  86.           patch utility provided by Novell to install product patches; it may
  87.           be used in DOS or OS/2 environments).

  89.      4.   Run each batch file relevant to your situation:

  91.           PATCH510.BAT:       This file corrects the NLM (NetWare 3.10), VAP,
  92.                               DOS, and OS2 versions
  93.  
  94.           PATCH510.CMD:       This file is the same as PATCH510.BAT file. 
  95.                               This batch file is for use under OS/2.
  96.  
  97.           PATCH511.BAT:       This file corrects the Btrieve NLM version that
  98.                               shipped with NetWare 3.11
  99.  
  100.           Files with a .ORG extension are the original unpatched version of
  101.           the product (for the OS/2 products a .OS2 extension is the original
  102.           unpatched version of the product).  They are created the first time
  103.           you patch the ORIGINAL software for the file specified.

  114.      This README file of BTR510.EXE accompanies the patches for Btrieve
  115.      version 5.10 and 5.11 (NLM only).  The patches are for DOS, OS/2,
